Brain-Restore
The Health Research Board and Breakthrough Cancer are funding research by Prof. Frances Horgan and her team at the RCSI, to explore the rehabilitation needs of people living with brain tumours.
Brain Tumour Ireland BioBank
Brain Tumour Ireland’s biobank enables RCSI and Beaumont Hospital investigators, as well as other national and international investigators to carry out cutting edge research, identify novel biomarkers and develop novel therapies for the treatment of brain tumours.
Donate Blood for Brain Cancer Research
Volunteers will be asked to donate 30ml of blood taken by a trained phlebotomist at Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute, Trinity College Dublin. Project involvement will be strictly confidential.
The RCSI Precision Cancer Medicine
Glioblastoma Sub-Group
Following the discovery of 3 new subtypes of brain tumour, Prof. Annette Byrne’s team are working towards generating sufficient data to support a GBM clinical trial in collaboration with the National Neurosurgical Centre in Beaumont Hospital.
