Brain Tumour Ireland currently offers four support groups, you can register for these below.
Brain Tumour Ireland’s Support Groups offer a safe, confidential space for those who are affected by a brain tumour diagnosis to connect with others who truly understand.
These are spaces that provide social and emotional support through shared experiences, helping our community to feel less alone as they navigate their journey.
It’s a space for listening, sharing, and supporting one another.
Brain Tumour Ireland’s Patient, and Family face to face Support Groups is for people with a brain tumour and family members and carers of people with a brain tumour.
The group currently meets face to face on the first Wednesday of every month in Cork, and is free to attend.
The next meeting is 1st October 2025.

Brain Tumour Ireland’s Patient Support Group is for people with a brain tumour – it seeks to facilitate peer to peer support.
The group currently meets online on the second Wednesday of every month and is free to attend.

Brain Tumour Ireland invites family members and friends who have experienced losing a loved one to a brain tumour to join our online Bereavement Support Group.
Facilitated by bereavement specialist Bryan Nolan, this safe, compassionate space offers the opportunity to connect with others in the brain tumour community who have encountered a similar loss. Through open, guided conversations, participants can honour their loved ones, and support one another through the unique challenges of grief.
The group provides a respectful and understanding environment to talk, listen, and connect.
The group will meet online on the fourth Tuesday of every month and is free to attend.
The first meeting is 28th October 2025.

Caring for somebody at home with a Brain Tumour can sometimes mean big changes to your life too and it is important that you know you are not alone and that support is out there if you need it. Don’t be afraid to ask.
Education in caring has been identified as one of the primary supports of practical benefit to carers.
Family Carers Ireland provides a range of options to provide people with all the practical skills and knowledge required to deliver high quality care both in the home and in other care related environments.

They also provide a range of workshops which are run whenever there is sufficient demand. These workshops include Stoma Care; Diabetes; Continence Management; Challenging Behaviour; Falls, Prevention and Management; Elder Abuse; Infection, Prevention & Control; Peg Feeding; Patient Moving and Handling; Assisting Skills; Health & Safety in the home.
